Programming Languages & Technical Capabilities
Atomic Design's preferred coding language is ASP.NET 2.0 with an MS SQL database architecture and a customized Content Management System. Our sites will be compatible with IE7+, Firefox 4.0+, Safari 4.0+ and Chrome. If you need for us to program the site in a different language, please let us know so that we can provide a revised quote based on the specific project needs.
If you are planning to host this site yourself, then you will need to have access to a Windows server and will need to obtain licensing rights to use an MS SQL server. Most web hosts can walk you through this process. We will provide you with the files and it will be your host's responsibility to set the site up on their server, unless other arrangements are made.
If you choose to host the site with us, the database licensing is included in our costs. We also include set up of 20 email addresses and average bandwidth and storage availability. For increased bandwidth, file storage or additional email options please contact us so that we can determine your needs.
ASP / ASP.net
Microsoft's Active Server Page language is used extensively for database-driven applications. ASP.net supports compiled languages such as C# and Visual Basic and is widely used with Microsoft's SQL Server Database.
PHP (PHP Hypertext Processor)
PHP is a scripting language that is ideally suited to Linux hosting environments. It is an open-source language, which is free, flexible, and adaptable.
Microsoft SQL Server
SQL database scripting language is one of the most widely used languages in enterprise web development. MS SQL Server is very flexible and power ideal for running web applications.
MySQL
MySQL is an open source, free to use database-scripting language.
Additional Programming skills include http, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, and jQuery.
