Project Expectations

All projects require meeting and understanding the following project expectations. They are based on over a decade of web experience, having worked on over 500 websites and our policies and procedures. They may seem simple but this list is based on issues that clients have not understood in the past and are included to ensure open and clear communication.

  1. All content, images and graphics will be provided by The Client unless otherwise spelled out in the Work
    Order and Contract.
  2. Atomic Design will retain the rights to use the design and programming for purposes of portfolio and promotion.
  3. The Client will have full ownership over the content, coding and graphics, upon receipt of final payment, and as necessary for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of their site. Source Code ownership remains
    with Atomic Design.
  4. Timelines established for this project rely on the feedback of The Client and any delay in receiving feedback may affect the delivery of the final product.
  5. Functionality requirements - if the client does not provide a requirements document, or Atomic Design is not hired to create one, page designs may often be used to determine functionality. This may affect the original quote and just because it is in the design or discussed with a designer does not mean it is included at no charge. Functionality requests must be submitted in writing and not only discussed over the phone.
  6. If additional features that were not covered in the requirements document are identified by The Client as necessary during the course of the project, Atomic Design will provide a new quote to cover those features and will let The Client know when those changes can be added to the production schedule. Unless absolutely necessary, the changes will not be made until after the initial project has been completed.
  7. There will be a thirty (30) day testing period after the final work has been completed. Work will be considered as final if Atomic Design does not receive a submitted list of issues that need to be resolved, assuming they are within the scope of the project.
  8. Full payment is due before website launch and within 30 days of Atomic Design posting the website
    for client approval.
